NPX is the new, unique and critically acclaimed family Christmas Experience in Greer, AZ. We are humbled by the overwhelming response, reviews and success of the NPX 2009, our inaugural year. Cabin bookings and ticket sales have already begun for 2011!

To insure the best dates and family planning, we want to let our valued customers know ahead of time that our 2011 capacity is fixed and limited to insure “pure authenticity”. Our goal is that your children and family come away with a wonderful “Norman Rockwell’esque” lifetime memory.

The North Pole Experience adventure starts at the historic 100 year old Molly Butler Ski Lodge (12 miles from Sunrise Ski Park), add in 50 wonderful cabins that sleep from 4 to 19 people ( families can stay together!), Dinner at the “Top 25” ranked Molly’s ski après restaurant. Add in the “fully interactive” adventure inside Santa’s authentic 400 year old themed Workshop. Your family will experience a very “special, interactive and authentic” adventure! Top it off with Breakfast with Santa in the morning. Book your cabin stay an extra day and get in some skiing at Greer’s Sunrise Ski Mountain with 69 runs, Arizona’s premiere Ski resort.

Adult Dinner Menu (16 years & older $26.95)

Choice of one Entree
Molly’s award winning slow roasted prime rib!
Molly’s Special Steak-slices of grilled top sirloin topped w/Molly’s own gravy
Georgia Fried Chicken- juicy chicken honey stung and fried to a golden crisp
Special seasoned oven roasted pork tenderloin sliced and served with brandied cinnamon apples
Halibut filet grilled to flaky perfection served w/ our orange white wine sauce
Cedar Planked grilled salmon served w/our own mountain teriyaki sauce

Hindman Retreat

Spacious cabin resting quietly against the National Forest. This cabin can be rented as A or AB. As “A” Hindman Retreat offers a great outdoor deck with a gas BBQ, full kitchen, livingroom, 3 bedroom, 1 bath, satellite large flat screen tv, wood fireplace, horse shoe pit, fire pit, hammock, peace and quiet. Pet friendly with fenced in area for the dog(s). Then if more beds and space is required (this cabin is great for the larger group with children) add “B” in the picture! Another full kitchen, laundry, 2 full baths, another large screen tv, a great room and a loft. In the great room (studio style) you will find a king bed, a queen bed, and (currently) 2 twin beds in the loft area. Available are DVD’s for both sections, “AB” will provide for an X box and activision. Pets are $10 per pet per night. Rate to rent “AB” is $250.00 per night for the first 4 ppl. Rental rate on “A” is $155.00 per night for the first 4 ppl. Each requires $15.00 per person per night above the 4 base number.

Simply put, the great outdoors doesn’t get any better than this! Without a doubt, Greer AZ and the surrounding White Mountains represent Arizona’s most pristine wilderness with it’s crystal streams, placid lakes, rolling meadows and lush forest terrain. Nestled away amid the millions of acres that comprise the Apache-Sitgreves National Forest, Greer is home to some of the best known hiking in the western United States. Once considered sacred by the Hopi people, hikers will be thrilled with the numerous trails carved over time by native travelers seeking favor from their mountain gods who dwelled high on Mount Baldy for centuries.

Today, maintained rigorously by the National Forest Service, our trails offer miles of scenic and documented terrain. Here, adventure abounds. From casual hikes to intense and challenging trails there is something for the hiker in everyone. Badger Creek, Government Springs, Benny Creek and the East Fork Trail to Baldy Mountain are just a few of the hikes awaiting you at your front door in Greer. As always, we’ll be here at Molly Butlers to guide you on your adventures – and welcome you home at the end of the day to a beautiful & cozy cabin, a warm meal and well-deserved beverage.

Adventures in Archaeology

Why go to the movies when you can have your very own archaeology adventures right here in the White Mountains! The Southwestern United States is home to some of the most important archaeological sites in our hemisphere – and Arizona has it’s share of treasures, only minutes from Greer. Take a quick trip to The Butler’s X Diamond Ranch and spend the day excavating a 1,000 year old prehistoric settlement, uncovering artifacts dating as far back as 500 – 800 A.D. – or enrole in their Field School Lab and learn the techniques the professionals use. A bit further down Route 260 in Springerville AZ, you can explore Pre-Columbian ruins at The National Historic Landmark, Casa Malpais. Looking for more? It’s here and near Greer at The Raven Site Ruin just North of Casa Malpais. Raven Site Ruin features two kivas and more than 800 rooms occupied by a long-vanished culture that thrived here between 1000 – 1450 A.D.

Welcome to the Trout Fishing Capital of Arizona! It’s been said that some anglers catch their best fish by the tale – but you won’t have to. Greer and the White Mountains are home to some of the best trout fishing in the Western United States. Whether you are a novice (worm & Scooby Doo Pole), intermediate (Power Bait, Zebco & Beer), or seasoned fly fisherman (tie your own flies), Greer offers a veritable cornicopia of fishing opportunities. Our cold crystal clear streams and lakes are simply teeming with Apache, Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout. Fish along the meandering Little Colorado River, or just two miles from our front door at Molly Butler’s you can cast your line into one of three different reservoirs – River, Bunch and Tunnel – which represent over 200 combined acres of fishing heaven.

Want to increase the odds that your actual catch will beat anyone else’s stories? Within only a 30 mile radius of Greer we proudly boast over 630 miles of trout streams and 22 additional trout lakes. With odds like that it’s not likely you’ll need much assistance, but if you find yourself short on supplies, The Tin Star of Greer or the Speckled Trout of Springerville will have just what you need.
